Central Coast Kendo is a branch dojo of Butokuden Dojo in Irvine (CA). We are part of the All U.S. Kendo Federation (AUSKF) and the Southern California Kendo Organization (SCKO). Our Chief Instructor is Taro Ariga Renshi, 7 Dan, Head of Butokuden Dojo.

Jason Carter began Kendo at the Yasato-machi Kenyukai in Ibaraki Japan under Inanuma Mitsuru Sensei. He received 2nd Dan from Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation) in 1997. In 2007, Carter Sensei began training at Butokuden Dojo under Maruyama Sandy Sensei and Ariga Taro Sensei. In April of 2014, he received 4th Dan from Southern California Kendo Organization/All US Kendo Federation.
Music, Japanese Food, Crafts, Bonsai, Martial Arts, Taiko, and items for sale from various vendors.
